Explanation
Indicates that when one action occurs, another event inevitably happens as a natural result. Cannot be used for sentences expressing one's will, hope, invitation, or request.
Usage
Use when describing facts, natural results, or habitual outcomes. If you want to express will, hope, invitation, or request, use 〜たら instead.

Examples
春になると、桜が 咲きます。
はるになると、さくらが さきます。When spring comes, cherry blossoms bloom.
この道を まっすぐ行くと、駅に 着きます。
このみちを まっすぐいくと、えきに つきます。If you go straight on this road, you will reach the station.
ボタンを 押すと、ライトが つきます。
ぼたんを おすと、らいとが つきます。If you press the button, the light turns on.
