Explanation
Use this pattern to say that one action happens before another action. The first action is in dictionary form.
Usage
Put the first action in dictionary form, add まえに, then the second action.
Formation
V(dictionary form) + まえに + V2
Examples
寝るまえに、歯をみがきます。
ねるまえに、はを みがきます。I brush my teeth before going to bed.
学校へ行くまえに、水を飲みます。
がっこうへ いくまえに、みずを のみます。I drink water before going to school.
