Pattern

Use this pattern when まえに comes after a noun. Add の before まえに.

Put the noun, add の, then まえに and the second action.

N + の + まえに + V2

食事のまえに、手をあらいます。

しょくじのまえに、てをあらいます。

I wash my hands before a meal.

会議のまえに、コーヒーを飲みます。

かいぎのまえに、コーヒーをのみます。

I drink coffee before the meeting.
