Explanation
The particle の connects two nouns. It can show what N₂ is about or indicate ownership.
Usage
Use N₁ + の + N₂ when N₁ describes N₂ (topic, content, category) or when N₁ owns/possesses N₂.

N₁ (owner/topic) + の + N₂ (object)

これは コンピューターの ほんです。
これは こんぴゅーたーの ほんです。This is a book on computers.
