Explanation
から is used to connect two sentences to indicate that the first sentence is the reason or cause for the second sentence.
Usage
State the reason in S1, followed by から, then the result or conclusion in S2. You can also place the reason after the result.
Formation
Sentence 1 + から + Sentence 2
Examples
雨が 降っているから、 外へ 行きません。
あめが ふっているから、 そとへ いきません。Because it’s raining, I won’t go outside.
忙しいから、 パーティーに 行きません。
いそがしいから、 パーティーに いきません。Because I’m busy, I won’t go to the party.
この本は 面白いです。だから 読みます。
このほんは おもしろいです。だから よみます。This book is interesting. That’s why I’ll read it.
部屋が 静かだから、 勉強しやすいです。
へやが しずかだから、 べんきょうしやすいです。Because the room is quiet, it’s easy to study.
