- 名 + と + 名 + とどちら
Explanation
A way of asking someone to express a preference or compare the extent of two things. The answer will usually take the form 〜のほう or どちらも.
Usage
Used when asking 'which' of two options is preferred or has a greater extent.
Formation
Attach と after each noun, followed by どちら.
Examples
コーヒーと紅茶とどちらがいいですか。
コーヒーとこうちゃとどちらがいいですか。Which do you prefer, coffee or tea?
東駅までバスと電車とどちらが安いですか。
ひがしえきまでバスとでんしゃとどちらがやすいですか。Which is cheaper to Higashi Station, bus or train?
