〜といいです

Pattern

Used to express a wish or hope for something to happen.

Attach といいです to the plain form of verbs to express what you hope will happen. Use たらいいです for hypothetical or conditional wishes.

Use dictionary form for general hopes. Use た-form + ら for conditional situations.

明日晴れるといいです。

あしたはれるといいです。

I hope it will be sunny tomorrow.

試験に合格できたらいいです。

しけんにごうかくできたらいいです。

I hope I can pass the exam.

駅までのバスがすぐ来るといいです。

えきまでのバスがすぐくるといいです。

I hope the bus to the station comes soon.
