Explanation
Used to list several actions or behaviors without indicating the order in which they happen. It is often used to describe examples of activities one does.
Usage
Commonly used to describe various activities in no particular sequence, often with する in the present or past tense.
Formation
Use the past form of the verb, add り, list more verbs in the same form, and finish with します or しました.
Examples
週末は映画を見たり、本を読んだりします。
しゅうまつはえいがをみたり、ほんをよんだりします。On weekends, I watch movies and read books.
休みの日に友達と公園で遊んだり、カフェでおしゃべりしたりしました。
やすみのひにともだちとこうえんであそんだり、カフェでおしゃべりしたりしました。On my day off, I played in the park with friends and chatted at a café.
旅行では観光地を回ったり、美味しい料理を食べたりします。
りょこうではかんこうちをまわったり、おいしいりょうりをたべたりします。On trips, I visit sightseeing spots and eat delicious food.
