Pattern

Used to express judgment, suggestion, or intention based on information received, or to limit the statement to a particular topic.

Introduces the topic as something the speaker reacts to or comments on, often based on what another person has said or a known situation.

Attach なら to the plain form of verbs, adjectives, or nouns.

美味しいラーメンなら、駅近くの店がおすすめです。

おいしいラーメンなら、えきちかくのみせがおすすめです。

If it’s tasty ramen you want, I recommend the shop near the station.

京都に行くなら、紅葉の季節が一番きれいですよ。

きょうとにいくなら、こうようのきせつがいちばんきれいですよ。

If you go to Kyoto, the autumn leaves season is the most beautiful.

その本を読まないなら、貸してもらえますか。

そのほんをよまないなら、かしてもらえますか。
