Formation
Attach まま after the past form, negative form, adjectives, or nouns followed by の.
Examples
窓を開けたままで外出してしまいました。
まどをあけたままでがいしゅつしてしまいました。I went out leaving the window open.
パソコンをつけたまま寝てしまった。
パソコンをつけたままねてしまった。I fell asleep with my computer still on.
説明を聞かないまま決めるのは危険です。
せつめいをきかないままきめるのはきけんです。It’s risky to decide without listening to the explanation.
