Explanation
Indicates that someone gives something or does something for the speaker, or for someone emotionally close to the speaker. 'くださいます' is a more polite form, used when the giver is of higher status.
Usage
Used when receiving a gift, service, or favor from someone outside the speaker's in-group.
Formation
Noun + を + くれます / くださいます; Verb (て-form) + くれます / くださいます.
Examples
友だちが私にかわいいマグカップをくれました。
ともだちがわたしにかわいいマグカップをくれました。My friend gave me a cute mug.
先生が妹に絵本をくださいました。
せんせいがいもうとにえほんをくださいました。The teacher gave my little sister a picture book.
駅まで案内してくれて、本当に助かりました。
えきまであんないしてくれて、ほんとうにたすかりました。They guided me to the station, and it really helped.
