Explanation
Expresses that something is possible or might be true.
Usage
Used when the speaker is uncertain but considers something possible.
Formation
Attach to the plain form of verbs, い-adjectives, な-adjectives, or nouns.
Examples
午後から雨が降るかもしれません。
ごごからあめがふるかもしれません。It might rain in the afternoon.
このかばんは高すぎるかもしれません。
このかばんはたかすぎるかもしれません。This bag might be too expensive.
彼はもう家にいないかもしれません。
かれはもういえにいないかもしれません。He might not be at home anymore.
