Explanation
Indicates that the speaker or someone close to the speaker gives something or does something for another person. 'さしあげます' is a more polite form used when the recipient is of higher status.
Usage
Use when the subject provides a gift, service, or action to someone outside their in-group.
Formation
Noun + を + あげます / さしあげます; Verb (て-form) + あげます / さしあげます.
Examples
友だちに手作りのクッキーをあげました。
ともだちにてづくりのクッキーをあげました。I gave my friend some homemade cookies.
先生にこの本をさしあげます。
せんせいにこのほんをさしあげます。I will give this book to my teacher.
荷物が重そうですね。駅まで持ってあげますよ。
にもつがおもそうですね。えきまでもってあげますよ。That bag looks heavy. I'll carry it to the station for you.
