Pattern

Indicates that the statement refers to something already known, said, or shown.

Placed at the start or within a sentence to refer to prior statements, information, or external sources.

Attach ように to a verb in dictionary, past, or negative form.

地図に書いてあるように、この道をまっすぐ行ってください。

ちずにかいてあるように、このみちをまっすぐいってください。

As shown on the map, please go straight along this road.

先ほど説明したように、この装置は安全に使えます。

さきほどせつめいしたように、このそうちはあんぜんにつかえます。

As I explained earlier, this device can be used safely.
