Pattern

Indicates purpose (so that...) or is used in polite requests and instructions.

Used to express the intended outcome or to politely ask or instruct someone to do/not do something.

Attach ように to the dictionary form or negative form of a verb.

忘れ物をしないように注意してください。

わすれものをしないようにちゅういしてください。

Please be careful not to forget anything.

早く起きられるように目覚ましをセットした。

はやくおきられるようにめざましをセットした。

I set the alarm so that I can wake up early.
