たとえ〜ても・たとえ〜でも

Pattern

Expresses that even if a certain fact, condition, or situation is true, the result or action will still occur regardless.

Used to indicate that the stated condition will not affect the outcome or decision.

Place たとえ at the start, followed by the conditional form of a verb, adjective, or noun, and then add も.

たとえ雨が降っても、試合は予定通り行われる。

たとえあめがふっても、しあいはよていどおりおこなわれる。

Even if it rains, the game will be held as scheduled.

たとえ給料が安くても、この仕事を続けたい。

たとえきゅうりょうがやすくても、このしごとをつづけたい。

Even if the salary is low, I want to continue this job.

たとえ一人でも、最後までやり抜くつもりだ。

たとえひとりでも、さいごまでやりぬくつもりだ。

Even if I am alone, I intend to carry it through to the end.
