Pattern

Expresses the desire to be allowed to do something, with a nuance of asking for permission more directly than させてもらいたい.

Used when requesting permission in a straightforward and casual manner, often to friends, family, or close colleagues.

Attach させてほしい to the verb in the causative form (させる).

このプロジェクトの企画を自分にやらせてほしい。

このぷろじぇくとのきかくをじぶんにやらせてほしい。

I want you to let me handle the planning of this project.

今日は自分で運転させてほしいな。

きょうはじぶんでうんてんさせてほしいな。

I want to drive myself today.
