Explanation
Expresses the cause of a positive result, meaning 'thanks to'.
Usage
Used when attributing a positive outcome to a specific cause, often with a nuance of gratitude. Cannot be used for sentences expressing hope, intention, or requests.
Formation
Attach to nouns (with の) or verbs/adjectives in plain form. For na-adjectives, use な before おかげ.
Examples
先輩に紹介してもらったおかげで、いい仕事が見つかった。
せんぱいにしょうかいしてもらったおかげで、いいしごとがみつかった。Thanks to my senior’s introduction, I found a good job.
天気が良かったおかげで、予定通りに山頂まで登れた。
