Common in official announcements, signs, or notifications. Indicates cause or reason for a current state.

Attach directly to nouns indicating the reason.

工事中につき、立ち入りをご遠慮ください。

こうじちゅうにつき、たちいりをごえんりょください。

Due to construction, please refrain from entering.

台風接近につき、本日の営業は休止とさせていただきます。

たいふうせっきんにつき、ほんじつのえいぎょうはきゅうしとさせていただきます。
