Attach to the dictionary form of a verb.

友人の活躍を聞くにつけて、自分ももっと頑張ろうと思う。

ゆうじんのかつやくをきくにつけて、じぶんももっとがんばろうとおもう。

Whenever I hear about my friend’s achievements, I feel motivated to try harder myself.

昔の写真を見るにつけて、懐かしい気持ちになる。
