Used to indicate that no matter the choice or example, the speaker's judgment applies equally.

Often used in expressions of opinion, criticism, or suggestions.

Attach to nouns or noun phrases.

新人にしてもベテランにしても、このルールは全員に適用される。

しんじんにしてもベテランにしても、このルールはぜんいんにてきようされる。

Whether you're a newcomer or a veteran, this rule applies to everyone.

旅行にしろ出張にしろ、事前の準備は欠かせない。

りょこうにしろしゅっちょうにしろ、じぜんのじゅんびはかかせない。

Be it travel or a business trip, preparation is essential.
