Pattern
- 普通形（ナ形 + な・名 + な） + ものか
Explanation
Used to strongly deny or reject something with emotion. Often conveys the speaker’s disbelief or refusal.
Usage
Commonly used in casual or emotional speech. Women often say 〜ものですか instead.
Formation
Attach to the plain form of verbs, adjectives. For な-adjectives and nouns, use な before attaching.
Examples
あんな失礼な人に、もう一度会うものか！
あんなしつれいなひとに、もういちどあうものか！As if I'd ever meet that rude person again!
こんな寒い日に外出するものか。
こんなさむいひにがいしゅつするものか。No way I'm going out on a cold day like this!
彼が正直なものか。いつも嘘ばかりついているんだ。
かれがしょうじきなものか。いつもうそばかりついているんだ。Honest, him? He lies all the time.
