Explanation
Used to say that there is no need to do something or that doing it is unnecessary.
Usage
Often used in giving advice or reassurance. Not used for speaker’s own actions.
Formation
Attach to the dictionary form of a verb.
Examples
そのことで心配することはないよ。先生がちゃんと説明してくれるはずだから。
そのことでしんぱいすることはないよ。せんせいがちゃんとせつめいしてくれるはずだから。You don't have to worry about that. The teacher will explain everything clearly.
雨が降っても、わざわざ行くことはないと思います。
あめがふっても、わざわざいくことはないとおもいます。Even if it rains, I don’t think there’s any need to go out of your way.
