Formation
Attach directly to i-adjectives and na-adjectives (without だ).
Examples
こんなに美しい景色は見たことがない。なんと素晴らしいことだ。
こんなにうつくしいけしきはみたことがない。なんとすばらしいことだ。I’ve never seen such a beautiful view. How wonderful it is!
大切な書類を失くしてしまうなんて、本当に困ったことだ。
たいせつなしょるいをなくしてしまうなんて、ほんとうにこまったことだ。Losing such an important document—what a troublesome matter!
