Explanation
Used to emphasize that precisely because of something, a certain result follows, or that one does something precisely for that reason.
Usage
It strongly presents a reason that would not normally be taken as the most direct cause, and emphasizes it deliberately. The following clause often ends with explanatory expressions such as のだ.
Formation
Attach こそ to the conditional form, such as Vば形, イAければ, ナAであれば, or Nであれば.
Examples
心も体も健やかであればこそ、大きな目標にも本気で挑めるのだ。まずは体調に気をつけなさい。
こころもからだもすこやかであればこそ、おおきなもくひょうにもほんきでいどめるのだ。まずはたいちょうにきをつけなさい。It is precisely because both mind and body are healthy that one can seriously take on big goals. First of all, take care of your health.
大切に思っていればこそ、離れるのです。私の気持ちをどうか理解してください。
たいせつにおもっていればこそ、はなれるのです。わたしのきもちをどうかりかいしてください。It is precisely because I care deeply that I am leaving. Please try to understand how I feel.
今つらければこそ、あとで本当の達成感と喜びが生まれる。
いまつらければこそ、あとでほんとうのたっせいかんとよろこびがうまれる。It is precisely because things are hard now that real fulfillment and joy will come later.
