音楽や美術、彫刻などの芸術は、鑑賞者の批評によって育てられてきた。
悪い演奏や良くない作品を出品すれば、その芸術家は次に表舞台に立つ機会を失う。
ところが、医師の診療や看護婦が行う医療の実践を患者が評価する仕組みは作られてこなかった。
一般の人に医療の知識を与えず、評価できる患者が育っていないため、医のアートは十分に発展しないのである。
この状況は患者にとってだけでなく、医療者にとっても不幸なことではないかと筆者は述べている。
芸術が批評で磨かれるのと同様に、医療にも評価の目が必要だと筆者は主張している。それだけにとどまらない。
筆者がこの文章で最も言いたいことはどれか。

Correct answer: 医療も芸術と同じように、医療の良し悪しを評価できる患者が必要である。
