Explanation
Indicates that someone does something for the speaker or someone close to them, with a sense of gratitude. The subject is the person performing the favor.
Usage
Use when another person voluntarily performs an action for your benefit or for the benefit of someone you feel close to. The receiver is often 'me' or 'us', and is sometimes omitted from the sentence.
Formation
Verb in て-form + くれます
Examples
友達が宿題を手伝ってくれました。
ともだちがしゅくだいをてつだってくれました。My friend helped me with my homework.
姉が空港まで送ってくれました。
あねがくうこうまでおくってくれました。My older sister gave me a ride to the airport.
先生が試験のヒントを教えてくれました。
せんせいがしけんのヒントをおしえてくれました。The teacher gave me a hint for the exam.
