Explanation
A polite way to ask someone not to do something.
Usage
Use the ない-form of the verb followed by でください to politely tell someone not to do an action.
Formation
Take the verb in ない-form and add でください.
Examples
ここでタバコを吸わないでください。
ここで タバコを すわないでください。Please don’t smoke here.
危ないので、川に入らないでください。
あぶないので、かわに はいらないでください。It’s dangerous, so please don’t go into the river.
私の机に触らないでください。
わたしの つくえに さわらないでください。Please don’t touch my desk.
このボタンを押さないでください。
このボタンを おさないでください。Please don’t press this button.
道で遊ばないでください。
みちで あそばないでください。Please don’t play on the road.
