- N + で + sentence
- な-adj（〜な → で）+ sentence
Explanation
Join two ideas with a noun or a な-adjective by using で. The sentence continues after で.
Usage
Use to describe the same subject with more than one fact or quality. Do not use for contrasting ideas — use が instead.
Formation
For nouns: noun + で. For な-adjectives: remove な and add で.
Examples
さくらさんは日本人で、英語の先生です。
さくらさんは にほんじんで、えいごの せんせいです。Sakura is Japanese and an English teacher.
田中さんは元気で、まじめな人です。
たなかさんは げんきで、まじめな ひとです。Mr. Tanaka is healthy and serious.
この町はにぎやかで、食べ物がおいしいです。
このまちは にぎやかで、たべものが おいしいです。This town is lively and the food is delicious.
山田さんは学生で、アルバイトもしています。
やまださんは がくせいで、アルバイトも しています。Mr. Yamada is a student and also works part-time.
この公園は広くて、きれいで、静かです。
このこうえんは ひろくて、きれいで、しずかです。This park is spacious, beautiful, and quiet.
