Pattern

The particle を marks the direct object of a transitive verb, indicating what the action is performed on.

Place を after the noun receiving the action of the verb. Pronounced as お, but written as を when used as a particle.

Direct object noun + を + transitive verb

本を読みます。

ほんをよみます。

I read a book.

パンを食べます。

パンをたべます。

I eat bread.
