Explanation
Indicates the place where a person or thing passes through or along when moving. Commonly used with verbs of movement such as 歩きます, 渡ります, 曲がります, etc.
Usage
Attach を to the location being passed or traversed, not to the destination of movement.
Formation
Place noun + を + movement verb
Examples
川沿いを 歩きます。
かわぞいを あるきます。I walk along the river.
広場を 横切ります。
ひろばを よこぎります。I cross the square.
商店街を 通ります。
しょうてんがいを とおります。I go through the shopping street.
