Explanation
Used to express the speaker’s desire to have or possess something. The object is marked with the particle が. 'ほしい' is an い-adjective.
Usage
Use 'Nがほしいです' to say you want something. For negative, replace 'です' with 'くないです'.
Formation
Affirmative: N + が + ほしいです; Negative: N + が + ほしくないです
Examples
わたしは 新しい パソコンが ほしいです。
わたし は あたらしい ぱそこん が ほしい です。I want a new computer.
いま 何が いちばん ほしいですか。
いま なに が いちばん ほしい です か。What do you want most now?
新しい かばんが ほしくないです。
