Explanation
These words are used to ask about a place or direction. どこ is the standard form, and どちら is more polite. どちら can also mean 'which one' when choosing between two.
Usage
Use どこ for casual or neutral questions about location. Use どちら when speaking politely, asking about directions, or inquiring about the name of a place or organization someone belongs to.
