Pattern

Used to express the idea of being unwillingly forced to do something, or when someone's action causes an emotion or reaction in the speaker.

Indicates that the subject is made to perform an action against their will, or is caused to feel a certain way by someone else's action.

For intransitive verbs, use を. For transitive verbs, use に.

雨の中を走らされました。

あめのなかをはしらされました。

I was made to run in the rain.

友達にカラオケで歌わされました。

ともだちにからおけでうたわされました。

My friend made me sing at karaoke.

子供の話に笑わされました。

こどものはなしにわらわされました。

I was made to laugh by the child’s story.
