Explanation

Usage
Often used when asking indirectly to be allowed to do something. Common in everyday conversation when the speaker wants permission or cooperation from someone.
Formation
Attach させてもらいたい to the verb in the causative form (させる).
Examples
この企画について一度説明させてもらいたい。
このきかくについていちどせつめいさせてもらいたい。I would like to be allowed to explain this project once.
今日は早く帰らせてもらいたいんですが。
きょうははやくかえらせてもらいたいんですが。I’d like to be allowed to leave early today.
